A New Book by Linda Elias-Watson

Coming Soon

I’ve been waiting a long time to share this.

For quite some time, I’ve been quietly working on something incredibly close to my heart: my book, Parenting With the Stars.

This book brings together so many parts of who I am—as an astrologer, teacher, mother, and grandmother—but at its heart is one simple belief:

Every child deserves to feel understood for who they already are.

As parents, grandparents, and caregivers, we naturally want the best for the children in our lives. We want to understand them, support them, encourage their gifts, and help them navigate the challenges they encounter along the way.

But every child is different.

What helps one child feel supported may not work for another. The way one child communicates, processes emotions, builds confidence, or responds to the world around them can look completely different from the way another child does.

That’s where astrology can offer us another perspective.

What If Your Child’s Birth Chart Could Help You Understand Them More Deeply?

Astrology isn't about determining who a child will become or placing them into a box.

Quite the opposite.

A birth chart can offer us a beautiful lens through which to better understand the person who is already there.

It can help us recognize a child's natural gifts and strengths, while also giving us insight into the areas where they may need additional patience, encouragement, or support.

It can help us better understand how they communicate, what helps them feel emotionally secure, how they express themselves, and the unique ways they experience the world around them.

Most importantly, it can remind us that our role isn't to mold children into who we think they should become.

It's to help them feel safe and supported enough to discover who they already are.

Why I Wrote Parenting With the Stars

My relationship with this work is both professional and deeply personal.

I come to it as an astrologer and teacher, but also through my own experiences as a mother and grandmother.

Over the years, I've seen how powerful it can be when we stop asking why someone doesn't respond the way we expect them to and instead become curious about what they need.

Astrology gives us a language for some of those differences.

It can encourage us to replace assumptions with curiosity.

To recognize strengths we might otherwise overlook.

To understand why one approach may work beautifully for one child and not at all for another.

And perhaps most importantly, to see the child standing in front of us more clearly.

That idea became the foundation for Parenting With the Stars.

Who Is This Book For?

You don't need to be an astrologer to read this book.

Parenting With the Stars was created for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and anyone who wants to better understand and support the children in their lives.

Whether astrology is already part of your life or you're simply curious about what a birth chart might teach you, my hope is that this book gives you practical insights you can bring into your everyday relationships.

Because astrology is most meaningful to me when we can take its wisdom and actually use it.

Not to predict who a child will become.

But to better support them as they become themselves.

A Different Way to Think About Parenting

There is no single formula for raising a child.

And there is certainly no birth chart that can tell us exactly how someone's life will unfold.

Children grow. Circumstances change. Free will matters. And every person expresses the energy within their chart differently.

That's why I see astrology as a tool for understanding rather than a set of instructions.

It gives us another way to ask:

  • What does this child need from me?

  • How can I communicate with them in a way they can receive?

  • Where might they need more encouragement?

  • What gifts are already beginning to emerge?

  • How can I support who they are rather than who I expected them to be?

Those questions can create space for deeper connection—not only between parents and children, but between grandparents, caregivers, teachers, and the young people whose lives they touch.

Follow Along

There is so much more I look forward to sharing with you, not only about the book itself, but about the ideas and experiences that inspired it.

I'll be sharing updates, behind-the-scenes moments, excerpts, conversations, and ways to begin exploring some of the concepts from Parenting With the Stars on Instagram, YouTube, and through my newsletter.

And when Parenting With the Stars is finally out in the world, I hope it becomes something you can return to again and again as the children in your life grow and change.

Because our children don't need us to have every answer.

Sometimes they simply need us to be curious enough to understand them.
